"This is the company you work for: Congratulations! You own the company policy holders, don't be complicit! Ask about those dividends, they do not trade publically. -Discrimination lawsuits from both employees and policyholders, with allegations including unfair claims processing, discriminatory pay, and a hostile work environment. Cases have been filed in recent years and as far back as 2015. -Settled a class action for $250 million claiming it created a RICO enterprise to funnel campaign money to an Illinois Supreme Court justice who later voted to overturn a $1 billion verdict against the insurance company, according to the ABA Journal. The lawsuit claimed that State Farm used non-profit organizations to secretly fund the election of Illinois Supreme Court Justice Lloyd Karmeier. -Algorithmic bias (Ongoing): Since at least 2022, multiple lawsuits have alleged that State Farm's claims-processing algorithms are racially biased and disproportionately flag Black policyholders' claims for extra scrutiny and delays. -2025 Alabama lawsuit: In October 2025, an elderly Black couple in Montgomery, Alabama, filed a federal lawsuit alleging that discriminatory AI tools subjected their claims to heightened scrutiny, causing delays and financial hardship. -2024 Illinois lawsuit: In August 2024, a federal judge ruled that a lawsuit alleging State Farm treated claims from Black-majority zip codes in Illinois as presumptively fraudulent can move toward trial. -Discrimination during claims (2025): In September 2025, a Black policyholder in Texas filed a lawsuit alleging State Farm mishandled his auto claim and subjected him to unreasonable administrative hurdles and delays that are not typically imposed on other claimants. -Hmong American discrimination (2017): A 2017 class-action lawsuit filed in Minnesota alleged that State Farm engaged in discriminatory practices against Hmong Americans by delaying or denying auto insurance coverage, forcing them to pay higher premiums and creating financial burdens. -2015 class-action settlement: In 2015, State Farm agreed to pay $250 million to settle a class-action lawsuit. The suit alleged that the company discriminated against African American and Hispanic customers in several states by charging higher premiums and engaging in "redlining," the practice of denying insurance to certain neighborhoods based on their racial makeup. -Pay discrimination (2022): A 2022 class-action lawsuit filed by seven current and former Black agents alleges that State Farm pays its Black agents substantially less than their white counterparts due to systemic, intentional race discrimination. -Retaliation against whistleblower (2022/2024): A former employee, Carla Campbell-Jackson, was fired after a 28-year career after she reported alleged discriminatory practices against minority policyholders and employees. After filing a lawsuit in 2021, a federal appeals court ruled against State Farm in December 2024, allowing her hostile work environment claim to proceed. -Workplace discrimination (2025): In February 2025, a California state court allowed a racial discrimination and retaliation case brought by a former attorney to proceed. The former employee, an African American woman, alleges she was subjected to a hostile work environment and denied promotions. -Retaliation settlement (2024): In October 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice secured a settlement with State Farm after determining that a corporate office in Texas unlawfully fired an employee in retaliation for raising concerns about citizenship status discrimination. -Harassment and retaliation (2022): In early 2022, a former Indian American employee filed a lawsuit alleging she suffered racial harassment and retaliation. Another former claims section manager in Michigan also raised similar allegations. BOYCOTT STATE FARM, there behavior is part of the habitual problem you are witnessing all around you.They and their affiliates don't deserve your business!
